
I. Optical System Cleaning & Adjustment
Cleaning of Lenses and Chutes: Before startup, blow the hopper and chutes with compressed air. Remove dust from lenses using a soft brush, then wipe the lenses in circular motions with special lens paper dipped in anhydrous ethanol.
Cleaning of Sorting Cabinet Components: Regularly clear dust accumulated on the sorting cabinet glass and background plates manually. Check whether the dust cleaning brush operates smoothly without obstruction.
II. Precise Adjustment of Core Parameters
Sensitivity Setting: Sensitivity 1 shall be set between 15–25 (reference value: 20); higher values deliver better quality of accepted products. Sensitivity 2 shall be set between 13–22 (reference value: 16); lower values reduce good material carried over in rejected products.
Delay Parameter Adjustment: Set the delay to match the exact travel time of materials from the lens to the air nozzles, preventing excessive qualified materials mixed in rejects.
Other Auxiliary Parameters: Adjust width, background plate and throughput parameters according to material characteristics to meet different sorting requirements.
III. Air Pressure and Mechanical Position Adjustment
Standard Air Pressure Setting: Maintain main inlet air pressure at 0.5–0.8 MPa; valve pressure at 0.2–0.25 MPa; dust cleaning pressure at approximately 0.4 MPa.
Mechanical Position Calibration: Adjust vibrator screws and pressure relief plates to align chutes with air nozzles; calibrate camera positions. Observe whether material jumping occurs on chutes during feeding, and reposition background plates and glass panels in a timely manner.
IV. Basic Condition Inspection & Adjustment
Hardware Status Check: Verify intact solenoid valves, correct sequence of air nozzles, fully lit lamps, tight electrical connections in the control cabinet, and level equipment installation.
Feeding Condition Optimization: Adjust the feeding direction of the storage hopper; slightly close the hopper gate to achieve even material distribution and avoid incomplete sorting caused by excessive throughput.
Special Working Condition Handling: If qualified materials remain in rejects after primary sorting, feed the rejected stream back into the hopper for secondary sorting to improve sorting purity.
